View Youth Takeover

The View Youth took over the service this week and we had 4 members who shared the word with us.

Oliva Boardman, her sermon had the title: “Stop flirting with Jesus” and she spoke about how we are not serious in our walk with Christ. Olivia referred to rejecting God, how we easily forget God and how we do not respond on His messages as though we are waiting to be pursued by Christ. Like Judges 2:16-19.

Kiara, she ministered on how important a godly relationship is, and she read from Galatians 5:22-26 and 1 Corinthians 15:33-34. She spoke about how bad company corrupts our godly ways, so we should choose friends who influences our faith walk positively. Matthew 7:24-25

Kane preached from John 6:35 and said that Jesus is the bread of life and he explained how the people following Jesus in the Bible was only following Him for personal gain but not for a relationship with Him. Kane said that Jesus is the only one who could ever fulfil the deepest desires of our hearts.

Abbi spoke about the 4 lies the enemy wants us to believe:

1. You are not good enough, – Ephesians 2:10
2. You have to be perfect in order for God to use you – 2 Corinthians 5:17
3. You have nothing of real value to offer anyone, – Matthew 5:13-14
4. You are all alone, this is not true – Hebrews 13:5

Abbi said one should focus on the truth of God as this will set us free.

Lastly, Emkay preached, and he said that your yes matters. As God is looking for your availability and not ability, so always show up for others. Exodus 4. He also said that a godly community is vital, Thessalonians 5:11. Emkay said that we should aim to add value as adding value helps you feel part of the church.
