Social Justice

Social Justice Programmes

We have been called to make a difference in our community, our country and our world. We have different programmes where we are involved in the local community, caring for the people and uplifting them. We also have partnered with two mission organisations in Zambia and Lesotho, and have supported them in numerous ways.

To fund these projects we’ve also launched a Vintage Heaven pop-up shop at View Church Tygerberg Hills. Vintage Heaven is a second hand shop that sells clothing, shoes, accessories and handbags. To be a part of this great ministry, you can sign up to sort through the donations, volunteer to man the shop on a Sunday, or you can donate any old clothing items.

LOCAL SOCIAL JUSTICE PROGRAMMES

The children of Ravensmead community are in desperate need of meals over the weekend. Many of the children in the community go hungry over the weekends, with no food at home. We have partnered with a local church in the area to start a Saturday feeding programme where we make sure the kids receive good nutrition, and care over the weekend. We are also running a daily feeding programme in Silverlea Primary School.

Many children in our community are unable to complete their school curriculum because they don’t have the required stationery requirements, this compounds failure rates and low attendance. Twice a year, we have stationery drives where we collect a selection of items that we donate to schools in the community.

Missions & Outreach

Every year, we aim to run two missions trips from View Church Tygerberg Hills to see lives changed and souls saved. We believe that by partnering with these organisations, we will see measurable change on earth and in heaven.
