This month we’ll be unlocking 10 books of the Bible and Pastor Dino started off the series by teaching on the book of Genesis.

Ps Dino reminded us to study the Bible, to not only grow in knowledge, but to also hear and learn the Father’s heart. So, as we study the Word, we will see new fruit coming from our lives as the Word is planted in our hearts.

Two scriptures will help us understand why we need to study the Bible: 1 is Joshua 1:8, which says we should meditate on the word of God daily to make our lives prosperous and successful; the other scripture is Ezra 7:10, which says that we should set it in our hearts to study the Law of the Lord.

The first 5 books are also known as the Pentateuch, we studied Genesis this week. There’s 2 main parts to Genesis, 1-11, which addresses God and His creation and 12-50 is God’s redemptive plan through Abraham’s family.

Ps Dino reminded us that God still brings order out of chaos, nothing in all creation was ever made in God’s image, and our purpose and mandate is to reflect God’s image on the earth.

In Genesis 3, the earth became cursed and then God speaks the first messianic prophecy in which He says: “he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” It speaks of how God had already in the beginning made mention of Jesus coming to save humanity from our disobedience.

We are not products of the shame of the world but the love of God! God who knows where we’ll be in all seasons, is the same God who created us, and He created everything else too.
