Lead Like Jesus – Part 5

Live Like Jesus

Nic Smith

This week elder Nic continued on Lead like Jesus and he focused on leading in the marketplace. He said that we should be the best leaders as we are Christians, and that we should try to connect with others (especially we don’t know) and speak about church, salvation, miracles etc.

Being a Christian is who we are, that leading in the marketplace forces us to hold onto our Christlike integrity as so many people, once they know you are a Christian cause you to stay on a Christlike level. The marketplace is everywhere you have influence, such as school, work, a local community etc. 1 Corinthians 9:20-23, do whatever it takes to reach these communities, while holding onto your salvation. If we meet people in their sin, we should become a friend of their future and not of their feelings (current sin).

Nic said once you become a Christian, you become a project manager as you speak two languages Christianity, (understand salvation) and you speak worldly as you know the struggles they are facing. You will not be able to lead in your marketplace if you are not rooted in Christ.

3 critical parts:

• Scope of Work – goals – Romans 10:14, we need to be the invitation to Christ / church

• Time to completion – Colossians 4:5-6, been placed in a certain place for a season only.
• Cost of project – the sacrifice you are willing to make for Christianity.”
