Ps Andre Greeff

This week Ps Andre Greef shared the word, and he continued on the topic “Lead like Jesus”. He said that leadership is caught more than it can be taught, and that Jesus is the ultimate leader as He sacrificed His life for us. Jesus said for the joy (being reconciled with us) set before Him he endured the cross, Jesus was the ultimate leader as He sacrificed and served others first!

Should we catch that principle, we will step into more of what God has instore for us, if we don’t, because of prior issues (fear, insecurities, lies), we could end up missing out on our destiny. Jesus desires that we would be passionate about serving, as serving will serve us well! It is part of our destiny because we were created on purpose for a purpose by God to server God and others. Philippians 2:5-8, Matthew 23:11-12 and Haggai 1:9

Ps Andre also reminded us to try to be counter cultural as in a world where people are inclined to be self-focused (end times), selfish, self-obsessed, we should try to stand out in the crowd. We can do this by serving others, being a generous people following Christ’s example. Colossians 1:16.

Ps Andre shared 6 attitudes of a servant:

1. Willingness (Isaiah 1:19-20) – the willing does the job well, they don’t take shortcuts.
2. Confidence (Hebrews 10:35) – don’t throw away your confidence in God’s plan.
3. Humility –keeps you rooted long enough to reach your destiny and produce fruits as we always need God and others.
4. Thankfulness (Psalm 100:4) – it’s the air conditioner of the soul, brings life into your life.
5. Generosity (Isaiah 32:8) – the world of the generous get larger yet the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller, so make a life by giving instead of what you can receive.
6. Obedience (Psalm 68:6) – your breakthrough is in being obedient to God.”
