11 Dec Meeting the Messiah – Part 2
Ps Dino Cicatello
On Sunday Ps Dino, preached on John 11 and he taught on how Jesus referred to Lazarus’ death as though he was just sleeping, seeing as He knew the end, Jesus says that His absence makes people believe more – helps with your faith in Him. The gospel only becomes powerful when the gospel becomes personal, sometimes we feel like Jesus got the timing wrong, thinking that His timing was off.(John 11:21-26) Truth is that God will always hear our prayers, so even if your facts contradict the truth, the truth will still change your facts as in the face of the facts, the truth will always prevail. In John 11:39-44, Jesus calls on the “dead man” Lazarus telling him to come out of his grave, and he came out, a great account of the facts contradicting the truth but the truth trumping the facts. In the midst of your facts, perhaps a disconnect in family, relationships, lacks, even in the darkest hour, the Lord raised up Lazarus so that no one could deny that it was a miracle. John 3:2 – “For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” Sometimes, God allows things to happen so that a great miracle would take place in your life, and they’d say it’s impossible and God would get the glory.” |
